Watching teens crush WODs is my favourite part of any event. The energy, the community, and the sheer grit of young athletes is genuinely inspiring.
There's nothing quite like the buzz of a live broadcast. Every competition is different — you adapt, you problem-solve, and you capture something real.
Four decades in and I still love pulling apart a new piece of kit to see how it works. Home lab, new encoder firmware, or an old server — it's all fair game.
Volunteering behind the scenes to help youth sport events run smoothly — whether that's the tech, the stream, or just making sure the scoreboard is working.
Long event days and early morning setups require proper fuel. A good cup of coffee before a live show is a non-negotiable part of the pre-production checklist.
Whether it's a network that won't behave or a video feed dropping 30 seconds before go-live — I genuinely enjoy figuring it out under pressure.
I'm Mark Britton — an IT professional who has spent four decades keeping technology running for businesses, organisations, and individuals. I started in IT before the internet was a household word, and I've kept pace with every shift since: from dial-up to fibre, from floppy disks to cloud storage, from CRT monitors to 4K production displays.
About ten years ago I discovered a second calling: live streaming CrossFit Teens competitions. What started as volunteering at a local box grew into founding Streamwave Productions — a full live production operation delivering multi-camera broadcasts, live graphics, commentary mixing, and broadcast workflows that put young athletes in front of the audiences they deserve. There's a unique satisfaction in blending technical precision with the raw, live energy of competitive sport.
I work with gyms, sports organisations, and small businesses who need someone who can think across the full stack — from the router in the back office to the video feed going out to thousands of viewers. I care about doing the job right the first time, explaining things clearly, and being the kind of tech person people actually want to call.
What I stand for
Quick Facts
From gym owners to parents watching the stream from across the country — here's what they have to say.
Mark ran the entire live stream for our regional qualifier single-handedly. The production quality was incredible — parents who couldn't be there told us it felt like watching a real broadcast. He's the best in the business at this.
Our whole office IT was a mess before Mark stepped in. He sorted everything out quickly, explained what he was doing without making us feel dumb, and set up a system that hasn't given us a moment of trouble since. Highly recommend.
My daughter competed and I was watching the live stream from three states away. The camera work, the graphics showing her score, the instant replays — I actually cried. Mark gave parents who couldn't be there something truly special.
